Good evening everyone, just had a question and wondered if anyone here is more "in the know" about this subject... Was in a LCS today (Pennies, Pounds, and Pesos in Media, PA) and the owner showed me a new Red Book with a significant price jump for the 1994 P Matte Jefferson Nickel (up to $100 in 65 I believe, outpacing the 1997 P, which was still at $75 in 65.) I've checked the PCGS Price Guide ($55 in 69), NGC US Coin Price Guide ($85 in 69), Numismedia FMV Price Guide ($76 in 69), and prices are still where I left them, with the 1997 P Matte (with the significantly lower mintage) still at least double in value by most references. Is this just a Red Book thing? Typo? Does anyone know why they are saying the 1994 is more valuable than the 1997? Is there a sudden rush in demand for them? (Note: Fully understand that the Red Book is printed a year early and is at best a reference point. It just doesn't make any logical sense to me.) Thanks
