    What you have there is non-value added doubling. Here's a link: Machine Doubling (error-ref.com)

    As you'll read, it's not real doubling of any kind. Just some damage that occurs during the minting process.

    Newer cents, especially those minted from 1982 on, have many anomalies that are NOT errors, but due to the metal composition or the wear and tear on the die and equipment. The majority have NAV (no added value).
