I've figured I've posted so many wannabee errors (that turned out not being errors) today that I better post an actual one. This is a spiked head variety, but the only 1993 spiked heads listed on Cuds on Coins are 1993-P, but this coin was minted in Denver. It is unattributed but I doubt they will list it.

Anyways, thanks to everyone who has helped me debunk any possible errors I posted today! I finally finished all my nickels.

    Soren.

Hey, look at the bright side. At least you're not like those who come here with some minor anomaly and want to spend $50+ having it graded and attributed.

Thanks for the input Rick! By die abrasion are you referring to the line from Jefferson's nose to the rim? I still think it looks like a die crack-- but hey I could be wrong!

Haha right!? I see a lot of minor anomalies I think are errors and turn out not to be, but I'm still learning. Throw it in a 2x2 mylar flip, write a little doo-dad on there and it's good to go in my book! :)

I see a small die crack thru the E,
but I would not call it a spiked
    head.

Sure, could of been a crack .
But, someone at the mint, took a grinder to the die ...

Ohh, now that makes sense. Hopefully, someday I'll find a specimen from the same die before it was abraded by a worker, then we could see what the die looked like not only afterwards, but also before.

Back then, no one cared ...
Look at some of the grinding work, from that era ....

That's a very true statement lol. I've seen some, well let's say questionable work on the dies on the coins from that era as well.
