Maybe it's the "P" word? You know, Pareidolia strikes again!

 

You are seeing things. What you see on the field is probably a die deterioration issue. There was never instance of Washington struck on the planchet before the Lincoln was.

This is the wrong way to get going in this hobby. You're just going to get sucked down the sewer of get rich from pocket change garbage and imaginary things you think you see on coins.

Your coin has a ring around it on the obverse. That is from a machine that rolls the coins and it’s damaged. Only worth spending and welcome to CT.
