1992 S Jefferson - grease filled die?

    Or did the leg of the 2nd 9 fall of? I see some remnants of it but the metal is gone...or maybe was never there.

    The mint mark font also looks different :

    My bad, the mint mark I was comparing with is for the Lincoln cents lol.

    His MM looks correct for the year, it looks weak but that is explained by the look of the date.
    It is MMS-011 this was after the change at the mint, all MM were no longer punched into the dies by hand. Therefore they should all be correct.

    MMS-011 is the Mint Mark Style, it was used from 87' to 93'

    The 9 does look unusual.
