Or did the leg of the 2nd 9 fall of? I see some remnants of it but the metal is gone...or maybe was never there. The mint mark font also looks different :
His MM looks correct for the year, it looks weak but that is explained by the look of the date. It is MMS-011 this was after the change at the mint, all MM were no longer punched into the dies by hand. Therefore they should all be correct.
