    The correct terminology for coins that have a darker the normal color is Improperly Annealed. Black Beauty is a title reserved for some improperly Annealed Nickels from 1959.

    Your Dime looks more like Environmental toning.

    I'm not seeing any doubling.
    And that is not close to being a full torch.

    @paddyman98 yes improperly annealed planchet thank you. black beauty for nickles got it. but can the terminology be used for different nickles made in different years if show same error.

    Can someone show and example of a "full bands"? I looked up some pictures and they are inconsistent online go figure. I would like to see what its supposed to look like for sure.
