Did you check for matches on: www.doubleddie.com www.varietyvista.com These should be your first stops if you think you found a doubled die Also, while you're there, read the doubleddie.com section on "worthless doubling". It gives a nice explanation of MD and DDD BTW: I don't see any evidence of split serifs on your coin, so it's not a doubled die
It does have a shelf like appearance and your right. I don't see any of the other marks like on the S either. Thanks!
I finally remembered to bookmark those sites. I still like to post and get opinions from you guys and ladies though. Thanks for looking.
Here's another really good site I just found but you might be a little dizzy after your drop . : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die-deterioration_doubling
Nothing wrong with getting a second opinion, but if you post something like "Do you think this looks like DDO-001?" or " "I checked doubled die.com and didn't find any matches...." it shows that you are serious about learning and not just somebody who holds out their hand and says "This looks different, is it an error?" If I can, I'll spend some extra time trying to give more details to someone who looks like they want to learn. Can't speak for others, but just thought I'd add my thoughts
