1991 D mint in wrong place?

    That's just a bubble under the plating; not a misplaced D mintmark.

    John,
    Your Cent was minted at the Philadelphia Mint. They did not use Mint Marks on Cents Minted that year.
    As stated it is a plating bubble that looks like a weird D but it is not a Mint Mark.

    Not a Mint Error nor Variety

    No, the "D" Mint is still in Denver. :D Your cent is from the Philadelphia Mint, which happens to still be in Philadelphia. :smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin:
