Any magnification above about 700X should be using immersion oil objectives and I can not tell from the description if that one does or not. Also the light is transmission that passes through the objects to produce the image, so you will need a light source ( ring or free-standing) that lights from the sides or above, such as the scope below. You can shoot photos down one eyepiece or look at their trioptic dissecting scopes with a separate photo tube.
