1990D Lincoln acid bath???

    Was this caused by an acid bath? Copper plating can be seen on top part of letters and rim. And the bubbling areas on reverse.

    It's called normal circulation zinc rot.

    Yes it looks like the copper plating has been chemically stripped off.

    The three pits in the obv rim are the result of zinc rot.
