@TJ1952 I'm sure there are plenty of bidiots who would pay a premium for it. Put it on FleaBay at a 99c start and see what happens. Chris
Yes, great feedback Chris thanks. Another thought...should I keep the set intact? It crossed my mind to breakout the cent and submit it.
It's not worth submitting for grading. It would cost a minimum of $30-40 with the shipping and insurance, and you'd be LUCKY to get $20 for it at auction. Chris
Yes, that makes sense. I was looking at the off-setting cost as well. $30-40? Really? I was looking at this ANACS special. http://www.anacs.com/contentPages/Specials/DollarsandCents_Special1.aspx But I see your point.
Why don't you experiment using your money? Send it to ANACS, and then list it on eBay with a 99c start. I'm curious to know what the results will be. Chris
Yeah, it's a whole new ballgame when your money is at risk. Isn't it? So, if ANACS is a better idea, why are you hesitating?? NOTE: If I'm being hard on you, it's because I want you to think about what you're doing. No offense intended! Chris
Just wondering, if it had been a significant error (I don't know, make it up..DDR, DDO, etc..) within the set, could the complete set (in the cellophane) be submitted to a TPG for grading? Would they do it as a set?
Leave it as is, I doubt you'd be able to sell the other coins for anything over face value. The coin is a nice find.
Not a problem. It's working, you have me thinking. I'm new to the process. Just trying to figure out all the angles.....and what you guys would do plus the overall consensus.
Keep it if you like it. If not sell it if you can. I would leave it in the packaging as further proof it is a mint error.
