Found this going through my daughters piggybank. I know not much of a premium but still kind of cool. What do you think die problem or lamination bubble or maybe something else. Any input is appreciated.
jpeg would be better. Or use something like photobucket and paste the image here. I don't open attachments anymore after spending $200 for a virus cleaning.
I can see the picture, but it need to be a lot larger than it is in order to determine what happened. Just guessing, but I doubt you will get iot large enough as a BMP. Try a JPG.
I see a long tail on the last 9 that runs through the mintmark but the image is so tiny I cannot tell if is a scratch on the coin (indented into the coin) or a scratch on the die (raised on the coin). A better - LARGER - photo is definitely needed.
i opened the attachment. looks like the tail is raised. looks kinda cool. drunk engraver? i would keep this one.
Sorry about the trouble with the pics. When I get home( at work now) I'll get some better ones up. The long tail is raised and is not a scratch. I pushed VERY carefully with a small pin on the end of the line and it is not a lamination bubble. Again sorry about the pic problems I will get them fixed.
That is a hilarious coin. I don't know why but the elongated nine just makes me giggle-snort. Abe got himself some Enzyte... (Yes. I did like Beavis and Butthead as a teen. Why are you asking?)
It looks like something I've seen on one of my 1/4 oz. gold pieces. Like an extra chunk of metal. Now I'm eager to see a larger pic!
