1989D ddobv?

    This is the most pristine 1989D I have come across, and it appears to be doubled die obverse. Am I right, or not?

    Pretty sure you have MD there. I think the (so called) doubling on a 89-D is so subtle you really have to know what to look for, maybe there are different varieties but that I don't know.

    most likely not... there are 7 ddo's listed on coppercoins and none show any doubling, just light to moderate extra thickness, so your coin is most likely MD..
