1989 Penny

    It is kind of hard to see on this picture however, I believe the coin might have been double struck. On arrow 1 below the date, there are another 8 and 9 from the date. Arrow 3 is pointing to letters above liberty, which I believe also spell out liberty. My question is does anyone know what arrow 2 is pointing to? What are your thoughts about the coin?

    That Photo isn't gonna get you very far.
    These cents are very prone to zinc bubbles and no doubt environmental damage doesn't help.
    I think they are nothing more than plating blisters.

    If you need arrows, you don't have anything. As @Pickin and Grinin said, most likely plating blisters. And like @cpm9ball said, give it a decent burial.
