I collected coins 20 yrs ago as a kid and hung it up b/c school and lack of money, but recently caught the bug again after I found a 2001 shattered die roosevelt (found out about it on this website) and started searching for more error dimes. Well, not long after my first find I came across this roll searching because of the irregularities on the reverse! (there was one more pic of the reverse but it wouldn't load) The crack in the 9 is too hard to see with the naked eye, but shows up nicely in my slit lamp (I'm an optometrist). Have any of you seen this particular crack? Could it be something other than a crack? I pushed on it with a tooth pick and it didn't budge, it is definitely part of the metal as it is even with the round part of the 9 and there is no seam. And what are the raised areas on the reverse? I'm not well versed in the lingo, sorry! I see that one of the two raised areas to the right of the oak leaves looks like an upside down E in the pic, but doesn't really look like an E with further analysis. Any help would be appreciated.[/QUOTE]
