1989 Mint Error or Damage?

    Looking for insight on what causes this, how to correctly describe it, and if it’s anything worth holding onto.

    looks like it was punched one too many times? Caught my eye and thought it was interesting.

    Thats a ridge ring an indicator of DDD-Die deterioration doubling not a true error.
