1989 error penny??

    I've got to see this through to the end.

    More coffee going on here, too. & I need to do the laundry.

    How can the weight be right, the rim wrong, the thickness off and......more coffee for me.

    Hi, everyone. Thanks for your input and interest! To answer the diameter question, it looks like the penny is actually a hair smaller than normal pennies. So I guess this is bad news according to what mike said as far as finning goes. I have pictures but they wont let me load them unless they have a url. I still have to chase down a gram scale which would determine whether it is an actual thick planchet or not. Is it at all possible this penny could still have the finning error?

    The year is a copper plated zinc planchet.
    Most likely damaged.
