Pls check out the reverse of this coin. This coin has curious lines in the monument itself, within the spaces between the pillars. They are not scratches. There is also doubling on the E R and C in America. There is no 1989 dd r on the Lincoln cent listing. As always, appreciate your time. Safari Bill
You dont think the letters are doubled? (Cited from: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1989-dd-r.339027/)
I see a worn Die Strike on your Cent. It caused DDD - Die Deterioration Doubling. Nothing to do with a true Doubled Die variety.
Definitely an error coin I wouod think. It's in a pretty good state for a 30 years old business strike.
