Between the letters and the rim of the coin, imprint into the coin shaped like the letters. Also an imprint running along the rim between the L in Liberty and the G in God. What would cause this to happen?

    Yeah, that’s just the way that coin was struck. I’m sure if others answer the call you’ll get it more technical than that, but it’s not any big deal, bottom-line.
