Chek out the MERICA in America. No where else on the reverse is this occurring. Under the 10x the secondary devices look raised. WIN_20200707_12_48_53_Pro.jpg WIN_20200707_12_53_51_Pro.jpg

There is some machine doubling that I can see but I can also see raised details under the 10 x. The USB scope doesn't do it justice for sure. The great thing about grime is that it will collect outside of the raised devices. If there was heavy machine doubling wouldn't it show up in more areas on those letters or elsewhere? I may be wrong but in theory machine doubling that heavy would be present elsewhere as well.

Machine Doubling.. Not a Doubled Die variety.

It's interesting to hear new collectors "theories" :bored:

Isn't it true though, it is kinda hard to only shift only selected parts of a coin during strike and normally machine doubling results in flat shelving feature which it shows as well alongside raised features only on certain devices. I realize it's not a known variety because if was I would't need put it on here. I wanted to put it out there because it wasn't a known variety and the raised devices was something I have not seen before. o_O
