ok I will. So Since I am talking about the 1988 with a reverse or 1989, this is not what my picture shows? Just making sure. Cause the "G" on my 1988 looks a lot like the one of 1989( with a serif). Just making sure @cpm9ball !
There is a little tick at the bottom right to make that part looked like a flared G. But it is missing the crossbar at the middle. Meow thinks the tick is corrosion, Machine doubling, or post mint damage. A trick of light.

It appears that you have gotten the answer you needed from others. That's good because I'm really not a collector of pennies. The only other thing I want to point out to you is that you need not use, both, the Reply function and the Tag option (@+username) when composing your post to converse with another member. All it does is create two Alerts for the same post, but only one shows up. If you are referring to a previous comment by another member, simply use the Reply function located at the bottom of his/her comment. However, if you want to make the thread/post known to a third person, use the Tag option to bring that person into the conversation. Right @paddyman98 ? Chris
Morning Chris! Thanks.I know how this thing works. Sometimes it's just a bad habit of mine. it's probably annoying to some. But you are right. Thank you for pointing that out to me.
