1988 Penny w Doubling on Both Sides?

  1. Just got back off the road and this one caught my eye last night. Late and Dark but it looked Interesting.
    8s were a little plump and 9 has something in 1 oclock position. PMD?
    Rty in Liberty
    IN and GO in God
    S in Trust
    Bottom of U in United
    2nd T in States has Fallen T behind It and E is mess.
    O in One has doubling at Top.
    Ok guys have at it.

    It is just a worn Die strike.. Die Deterioration Doubling.
    This issue is common on Copper Plated Zinc Cents.

    Worthless doubling..
    Nothing at all to do with a true Doubled Die variety

  4. Well poop. Lol. After all the MChine Doubling you guys Taught me I even looked up that one. Some but not all markings were close. But No Cigar.

  6. Im about to Turn 63 and this new hobby is full of lessons. But, you dont get this old giving up. I will find it, wont buy it, wont take it as a gift and claim credit. Ill hit 40 states or more in the next few months and some of them quite a few times. I will get one. Youre lessons arent wasted. Lol
