1988 or 1989 reverse?

    Need pictures that are more in focus.

    From those pics, I'm gonna go with '88.

    Lol right right right but the crazy thing about it is it's an 89 with an 88 reverse! Crazy huh. Has there ever been one found like that?

    Wide Am and close Am have nothing in common with the 88 and 89 type two Reverses the coin you have is and 88 rev.

    So 89 came with 88 reverses as well?

    Yes, there was an old die used for 89 Cents.

    Pretty cool well it should be worth a pretty penny for an error. I would say the Cain would grade a 67 pretty easy

    I had not heard of any reverse of 88 dated 89 being found. If you have any links to confirmed coins I would be interested.
    Could the OP provide full coin pics and pics that are not quite so enlarged.
    This actually appears to be an abraded reverse of 89.
