Opinions on this 1988 Lincoln cent which appears to have IMO a plating blister on the left of the Lincoln memorial ?

With all of the environmental damage and staining I strongly suspect that small areas of the plating were compromised and there is zinc rot (corrosion) under those spots.

A fart from a zinc bubble that hasn't popped yet, anomaly number 979,988. Stick with pre 1982 at least you will have true copper, no pun intended. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

If you’ll forgive me for saying, that’s one ugly coin.
