1988 D Reverse 1989?

    I found two of these cents while roll hunting today. Can anyone confirm/deny that these are 1988D REVERSE 1989 cents?

    I can't get my camera to focus any tighter in the initials, sorry!

    the reverse 88 should not have wide AMs, and the reverse 89 do. Both those coins show wide AMs and while difficult to see the initials i believe you can make out the G with the cross bar. Again I can't focus any tighter in those initials but what about the WAM's?

    all 1959 - 1992 cents should have had Wide AM designs on both proof and business strikes.

    Thanks for that info! To ask a stupid question then, why is the wide am then pointed out as one of the tells for 89 reverse?

    I have to search for it but i do remember seeing it that's why i was asking. That's why i couldn't figure out what the problem was with my id. Thank you for setting me straight!
