1988 D, LMC, RPM OR???

    I dropped a bag of wheaties the other night and after scooping them up, noticed a few LMC's in the mix.
    This coin caught my attention, 1988 D RPM? My opinion, yes.
    Not in Wexler's or Variety Vista.

    No, it’s zinc rot. Common on the mint Mark. It starts out as split plating due to a worn die strike. Worn die is evident by the ridge ring.

    I guess I forgot the plated zinc issue which began in the early 80's.:eggface::rolleyes::sorry:

    Anything past late 1982, I don't even bother to look at anymore.
