Hello. I found a 1987 S Washington Quarter going through some recent change. I've been researching it & can find info & values only on the proof strikes, and don't think this is one but not sure. I saw "-----" on my value chart across the board on all grades. If anyone can give me some input I would greatly appreciate it. I attached some photos. Thanks all...
Most of the recent S's are proofs. This is an "impaired" proof because it has circulated. But it is a proof. I found a 72-S in a coin star. Same thing. I think they made some regular business strike S coins in the States/ Park series that are not proofs. But I have never gotten one. Your coin is a proof. It won't command top proof value, because it has circulated but it is a keeper.
