1987 penny

    Well I'm back in the batters box again looking to get a hit lol . If you look at the 9 and 8 in the date I see slight doubling?? Not to mention the rim is fubar . Maybe I got that double vision

    Welcome to Coin Talk. Sorry, from the photos you posted I don't see a doubled die coin.

    Looking at the ridge ring on the right side of the Cent is evidence of a worn die strike. That would make the date die deterioration doubling or worthless doubling.

    Nothing at all to do with a true Doubled Die variety.

    Gary.. The correct Numismatic terminology is Doubled.. not double
