Don't be sorry.. Just quickly ask the questions and we will do our best to answer. You have a Copper plated zinc cent. They tend to have weird issues. Looks like yours was struck with a worn die causing the effect you are seeing. Known as DDD - Die Deterioration Doubling. Even the mint mark lools funny because of the issue.
