    Scorch marks looks like someone applied heat to it.

    People with nothing better to do often deliberately damage coins. We see a lot of them here.

    Oh it was easy. :) I looked at the coin with one eye shut and then I closed my other eye. What I stated was the first thing that popped into my head based solely on what I was looking at.;)

    Maybe a fuse box job. Pre 83 work better than zincolns. Ask me how I know.
