1987 Jefferson nickel partial collar

    I don't think there is any way that this could be considered a "dryer" coin.

    I also think that it would have to be an interesting scenario for that to be formed in the same way a dryer or spooned coin is. I am curious to see what others think of it.

    No i don't have a calipars best i can do is put it against another nickel

    Hmmm... Interesting. I am not sure. @cpm9ball is there a certain diameter that the out of collar portion is supposed to be?

    Not that I know of. I was just wondering which part was the same diameter as a normal nickel. If it was truly an "out of collar" strike, I would think that the smaller diameter would be the correct size for a nickel.

    The larger diameter seems to be nickel size per image on post #6
