1987 D with 88' MM. Is this a common veriety?

    I wish that Variety Vista had provided a comparison of the different mintmark styles that were used for Denver.

    This cent is not the VV specimen in the link above. I seem to remember something about the wrong MM for the year (say, 1962/1963) but I don't recall something more modern. It's possible...but I'd have to research this to have any real opinion on it.

    Thanks for the link Mark. I recall seeing it now. It appears that for 1987, two mint mark styles were used.
