1987 D double die on both sides

    I have a 1987D Lincoln cent. It looks like there's double die on both sides of the coin. Do I have something here? Does it go up in value

    I am no expert, but I don't see what you are seeing. I think I do see a minor misaligned but that's it. Maybe better pics and advise which letters you think may be doubled.

    Just wondering, it took me a bit to know how to do this, have you looked up your cent that is possibly Doubled on certain sites. I use Wexlers, Variety Vista and Copper Coins a lot. If you find one similar on one of the sites you can look for the die markers they have listed to see if it's a match. If I think I find a match or I think it may be a new variety, I post it here for the experts here to help me out. It is very fun doing the research :)

    From those photos, it is impossible to tell if you have a DDO or DDR.

    A good rule to follow when photographing coins is: regardless of what you can see in-hand, if you're unable to see the same anomaly in the photo, neither will we.
