1986 penny has CUD on the face cheeks and back neck

    A 1986 penny it looks like it has a CUD line on Lincoln face and back neck your opinion on the pic thanks

    This is not a cud. A cud is a die break along the rim that extends into the field.

    Since your coin is one of the crappy Zincolns which the Mint has been producing since 1982, it's possible that the anomaly is due to zinc rot, but I can't tell from your photo.

    Another site told me it was a gas bubble issue yes it's a crappy ones ...thanks
