heavy circulation wear, surface damage, environmental damage.

worth 25 cents.

btw, it's not "Worth Nothing" as it's worth 25 cents. So I can't vote in the poll. that's the nice thing about government backed money, it's worth face value no matter how battered, worn, or damaged it can get.
