1985 penny with the word of slightly visible

    There was too much grease when the coin was struck (grease filled die). It’s a very common occurence on US coins so it doesn’t add any value to a coin. Yours is just worth 1 cent.

    Hi there and welcome to coin talk. seems like this is a grease filled die. what happens is what USCoinCollector42 said that there was to much grease when the coin as struck. so that leaves it being worth one cent.

    Your title confused me until I looked at the Cent. Use capital letters when referring to words on any coin.. So it would be OF.. not of

    Try to create your future threads in the Error Coins forum.. Worry about Whats it worth after you determine if it's an actual error or not. Most true minor mint errors carry little or no premium.
