1985 penny No Nose.

    Found this 1985 penny that appears to have air bubble damage and possibly at the nose area then looks like some one tried to fix it . I'm think it popped and they tried smoothing it out or something.looks spackled lol.

    you are correct about damage and bubbles and LOL at spackled in a way it does look like a bad attempt to spackle the holes. Keep looking :D

    Yes it does look strange. Could be the copper plating that just became mishaped in that spot.. Thanks for sharing.

    It has environmental surface issues -
    it's been cleaned, for one, and it's
    had some hits/digs, etc. on the coin.

    Not an error, I'm sorry to say.
