if you realty don't want to know what people that know what they are talking about have to say then why do you keep on asking?

You are like the error collectors equivalent of a hypochondriac. you hear a term used somewhere and decide "that's what MY coin must be!"

yes I think I can see that also.it looks like this starts on the rim before the Q in quarter and goes past the A in quarter. this is because the rim got flattened a little when the coin got damaged and probably pushed a small finned area out . jral1 when you find a coin with PMD on one side the other side is usually damaged and this proves it is PMD . keep after it and before long you can learn how to tell PMD from a real mint error

Hammer another coin ontop of another with the rim over in god we trust and LIB of liberty and i bet you will never come close to the properties this coin has. I will never post a single thread here again if you can recreate this coin with a hammer and your own high quality picture to match 1200 dpi or better.

Don't waste your breath on this one, Ziggy...there are plenty of people on the forum asking legitimate questions about errors that need your help. :)

Yeah go tell them all you see is circulation damage. Being as vague as you can is the name of the game right?

No, giving correct information is the name of the game. :)

Some try to hard to keep up the dealer lecre while other were probably taking there time to come up with a better reason. Or to put some actual thought into it. These trolls have only made me conjure up other coins to put on the scanner. And here we are. What is this sorcery

Im still waiting for one of those people. The most intelligent answers have been my theories other seem to be I SEE YOUR COIN HAS circulation DAMAGE with cirulatioin ommited. But thats exatly what it has circulation damage! pre circulation circular damage either from the coin blanking machine (not likly with the mark on one side but what if there was another coin under it?thats how it could have got this mark on one side only)) It could have happened in the upsetting mill somhow. It could have multiple strikes or could have been stuck in collar with another coin struck ontop of it then struck again obliterating most evidence of what ever happened. The name of the game is guess untill you get it right unless its an obvious error.
Plus there are probably a few other ways. I may not have it spot on but im sure im close.

It would have been impossible for either one of your theories to have caused this damage to your quarter. regardless of what did this IMO the quarter is only worth .25 and not worth discussing .
