I'm looking for information on these 1985 pennies, one has what appears to be an "O" above liberty and the one next to it appears to have delamination through "IN GOD WE TRUST". The one on the bottom is just an '85 penny for my reference. Found all three in my change this morning.
The so-called "O" appears to be nothing more than the common early Zlincoln cancer. As for the others, they (from what I can see) appear to average everyday cents from that period.
As a general rule, one shouldn't "clean" their coins. Had this coin possessed any value beyond face, it would have been severely impacted. That said, what I said earlier still stands: what you're seeing is rot. All cents from 1983 (some 1982) are copper plated zinc and are very prone to corrosion likenyoure seeing here.
