1985-D non wexler possible doubling

    All I see is a worn die strike. That would cause die deterioration doubling.

    If you look up around the inside of the rim, you can see this raised area

    that is when the edge of the die is wearing down and losing metal. This allows the planchet to fill that position thus creating a ridge. Thus the raised area around the edge like this is called a Ridge Ring. Ridge Ring is indicative of a Deteriorated Die. So this is one indicator that you'll get Die Deterioration Doubling not only in that area but expect it in other areas too as the die goes beyond it's expected lifespan for collector purists.

    You see it on the Obverse too around IGWT.
