Pocket change find, Alamagordo, New Mexico---
Double rim on the reverse, distorted letters etc-
I thought the mint mark was doubled but as I looked closer..

Thanks for your help, spend it or save it?

It's been struck with a die that was well past it's prime and then circulation happened. It's a spender. Find another 99 and you'll be able to enjoy a nice cold can of Coke.

If you are banking on a coin to fund your retirement, it's time to change banks.

Although the coin is in bad shape, it does appear to have been struck through a little bit of "grease".

Oh what do you know? :D

The die is "past it" and some of those letters were clogged with a little grease. That's my dx, too. :)
