Thank you to everyone who replied to my previous thread and offered advice on how to straighten out my 1985 $5 note: Here it is now- it’ll ideally fit into my series year album.
I don't know much at all about currency, so please don't take this the wrong way. Why is that a keeper? Is it exclusively because it is the discontinued series?
Kind of like that- it's hard to find series years of 5 dollar notes from before 1995. I try to fill up an album with $1, $5, $10 and $20 notes from 1969 to present day. And 1980s notes are hard enough to find as it is, while 1960s and 1970s notes are near impossible to obtain. 1990s notes however, are left in circulation, and are thus more common because of newer security features- (1990-1995 security strip and microprinting, while 1996- date security strip, microprinting, and a watermark).
