It is either a dryer coin, that is spent time in a clothes dryer, which hit the edges repeatedly or: a coin that someone spooned, that is hit the edges with a spoon, in an attempt to make a ring more likely the first
I think it has been spooned. If it had been a dryer coin, you would expect to see damage to the devices of both sides. Chris
