    It appears to me to be D/D West. Then again this is my opinion.

    Thank you .We are very new to this and I'm awaiting a book. But I want to know how to mark them correctly for my 8 yr old son. Or if I should send them out to be packaged and graded properly . The 5 W's ... Who ,what, where, when, why?

    I would disagree and say it's a plating issue until we get better pics...

    I kind of agree also. As I did see those areas around the date. Again I just shot an opinion based on the photos provided. Very good eye though man.

    It looks like a plating issue to me too. Plating "doubling" was very common on the early copper plated zinc cents.
