1984 Jefferson Nickel - Error on Backside?

    Im new to the forums and coin collecting altogether. Any advice would be nice. The "error" I saw was on the backside of the coin, where the "cents" in "five sents" is almost entirely wiped out.

    Yep, just appears to be heavy circulation wear, is all.

    The "error" is on the thread title. It's a 1964, not a 1984.

    Probably a grease filled die. Wear wouldn't selectively remove the word and leave all the others around is so much less worn.

    Given the overall look of the coin,
    on both sides, it's difficult to tell
    if it's wear/damage, or a filled die.

    I'm leaning towards damage,as
    part of the wear pattern and look of the
    coin. The missing area looks rougher
    than it should for a filled die, imo.
