Yeah, i'd say it's not it, some kind of machine doubling. It should be more like this: Even on a much less magnified shot it's obvious and visible. I'd say your looking too hard for it. sorry.
Keep looking. I'm closing in on 800 boxes of cents searched and probably 50 bags. Still no luck on the 84 DDO. It is my white whale.
And that's the reality with doubled dies, errors, varieties ect., just dumb luck searching and someone finds it with change from a slurpee, while others spend years and years roll hunting 200K cents a year or more and come up empty. trying and looking is more than 50% of finding though. if you don't look, finding is impossible. Knowing exactly what to look for and recognizing it for what it is is EVERYTHING. there's probably hundreds and hundreds of them, tossed in change jars around the country where nobody knows or even cares, just another penny to them.
yessir you have to look to find it. thats forsure. all about dumb luck.. i havent been to blessed in that area you never know though it could be in the next roll. it keeps me going.
If I own the coin . I would match my images, to the variety site images . Then ask question . By the way, it is a ddr ...
I must have looked through 100,000 or more pennies and not once looked for a double ear lincoln. I'm going to from now on, duh what a dummy I am...Thanks for the post.
It kinda depends on where the 3rd ear is located. For example, some people have a certain percentage of their brains located near their upper orifice, & the remainder near their lower most orifice, so it's not obvious if you're just looking at them...
