    Not quite certain what you’re trying to get at but there are all kinds of slip-ups in the process of minting coins and those are referred to as “Mint errors” and are collectible although not all necessarily valuable.

    The size of the error and the dramatics of rarity usually determine the majority of value of that coin. The smaller errors of a high production are usually less value.
    However I have and have seen errors which are rather rare and many searchers believe it is fake or not real. When I started buying errors in 1970, there was not much enthusiasm at all....and that has changed big :)
