1983 quarter P

I have a 1983 quarter. Same thickness as a dime. Does not have a rim around quarter. And is missing eagle stamp on reverse side, and reverse side is copper color. NEED MORE INFORMATION PLEASE!!!

It looks like someone has ground down the edges of the quarter, as well as gound the reverse smooth. Most likely for some jewelry reason or clothing addition such as a button or decorative attachment to a belt. Or possibly someone did it just to do it. Not a mint error, this was done after it left the mint.

The circular ring on the reverse appears to be the tooling marks from removing metal with a lathe.

 

......and this was probably done to use it as one-half of a magician's coin.
