So i always save all my 1999+ Quarters and i use them in vending machines and such - i have two at my building and two at my work.. So what i do is i overpay for a Soda or whatever and after then transaction it returns my change; but not the change i originally paid with. I tend to get a good amount of Washington quarters. Matter of fact, i have folders full. I'm always on the look out for the '83's and today this one popped out. Lucky day. I happened to have purchased one of those self slab 10 packs off Amazon a while ago and this is the first i have ever use one. Novelty i guess. Anyway, what do you guys think of this coin? Originally i thought it might be a 'Spitting Eagle' as well but after taking thee pics (some with the USB microscope) i no longer think it's a Spitter haha. Still, i'm deferring to the experts. Is this called a broadstrike? Or just 'off-centered' and if so i was thinking it was abt 5% - 10%. Maybe 8%. I don't know how to label this. I'm not looking to sell it. I just want to know what i have. Maybe is planchet error? I really have little experience in this area. Thanks all. Oh, and incidentally, what would something like this be worth?
Details are missing, so it’s an off center and not a broad strike. Nice find! @furryfrog02 @JCro57 @paddyman98 @cpm9ball @iPen
Nice find, @Justawesome. I never have the luck to find any in the wild... I mean, vending machine, change, rolls, etc.
