Very nice find! CRH?
awesome! did you find, or purchase?
Okay, I'm trying to learn about the Blakesley effect. Is that what I see around the L in Liberty?
@John Skelton ...Yes, I just finished learning it also. I googled "Blakesley effect" and followed the links. Basically, it is a weak strike area 180 degrees opposite the clip of the coin...Spark
I had checked out one of the many reference links I'd picked up here and learned what one looked like, but wanted to get confirmation. Thanks for providing it!
Is this one you made?
Actually the OP posted this photo along with another of his "clips".
Nice catch Kentucky lol You were the only one to notice. They were my grandfather’s c.1900
I'm trying to learn also. I thought it was the letters IN and WE (IN GOD WE TRUST)
@thomas mozzillo ... its both. The L/Liberty and the IN and WE/IGWT are all generally weak spots opposite the clip...Spark
